John F. Kennedy, Jr. Salutes at JFK's Funeral, 45 years ago

On Nov. 25, 1963, 45 years ago today, John F. Kennedy, Jr. (John-John) salutes his father during his funeral. US President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas on Nov. 22nd. Sadly, the day of the funeral, when this photo was taken, it was also John-John's 3rd birthday. The family held a birthday party for him later that day.

Happy Birthday, Mr. President

President John F. Kennedy was born 90 years ago today! He was born May 29, 1917. Kennedy was the youngest ever elected to the office at the age of 43 (Theodore Roosevelt was 42 when he became President, but it was due to the assassination of William McKinley).

President Kennedy was in office less than 3 years. His life was tragically cut short, at age 46, when he was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. Lyndon Baines Johnson succeeded Kennedy as President.
